Pete, The red tool that you picked up in the exhibit hall that had the slots is a tool used to assemble and disassemble chains, the style of chain like you have in the bottom of your manure spreader. You would slide a link into one of the slots, kink the chain and use a hammer to drive the links apart.

Paint, spoke to you at the show on Friday. That big black tulle you're looking at there is a chain breaker for breaking panel type chain on the North spreaders and the like. Listen your idlers slide the chain into the slot you need roll it up and then you can drive the other side out

Thanks Pete! So many memories for me being an ex- Inter parts guy who worked for a couple of dealers here in Oz. (1 being in the hills as mainly market gardeners & the other out in the country for more larger farms) We sold Inter Trucks & I resorted a few including Scouts for one of my bosses too! I was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY and remember Chisholm-Ryder. Along with that bean harvester they also manufactured grape harvesters along with other combine harvesters. Thanks, Pete, for bringing back an old memory.

Interesting to see the original and restored vintage IH tractors. Lots of TLC went into these. The red cast slotted tool was a chain breaker for link type chain. Guess I'm giving my age away as many of the letter series tractors were common during my younger days. Never too old to learn more about old IH iron!!!

it's interesting to hear how the three hour drive is close. Our country is so small that it takes four hours to drive from one end to the other and back. And everyone thinks it's too long a drive.

Pete, Happy Father's Day! I knew nothing about tractor and mechanics until I started watching your videos. Was in Costco's fuel line where a lane over from me was an over-all clothed gentleman pulling his trailer with tractor, so I approached and asked what year his tractor... can't remember anymore, but was he impressed I asked about his tractor. He appeared to be an ole local farm family decendent. Can kick myself for not asking about how he got into farming and to see if what I thought was true. Anyways, I mentioned Farmall and a few models- he asked how I know about tractors; I answered don't but learning through Pete's channel- JaFAF. Thank you for introducing me to farming and tractors.

When you worked as an engineer where you interested in farm equipment and tractors then? You have an extensive knowledge of farm equipment and tractors that couldn't have started when you started farming. I've learned a lot watching your videos when you go to these events👍🏾
